If so, then you might want to consider a career in beauty and cosmetology. Cosmetologists perform a variety of services, including manicures and pedicures, facial treatments, makeup analysis, cutting and coloring hair, and styling hair or even wigs. They can work at beauty salons, be self-employed, or even work part-time.

How to Become a Cosmetologist
Except for those who want to become makeup artists or shampooers, all states require those working in beauty and cosmetology to have a license. Most states require degrees or certification from a licensed cosmetology school, followed by a passing score on a state licensing examination. A full-time associate degree program can take as little as nine months. Other programs, such as those for skin care specialists, require even less time.
