Bachelor Degree: Vocational Degree and Programs
<336x280>
Education services is the second largest industry in the US, with 13.3 million jobs. But to work in this field, you usually need at least a bachelor's degree. Vocational teachers typically work at community colleges, junior colleges, technical institutes, or professional schools. They can teach either academic or technical subjects. Because these types of schools offer specialized training, you need to have either traditional or online education yourself in that subject along with practical, professional experience. Approximately 2/3 of employees in the education field have at least a bachelor's degree. Master's and doctorate degrees can also prove useful, as they indicate a higher level of knowledge in that field. But fortunately you can get that additional career training by having experience in the field you wish to teach. Since so many vocational programs now have an online component, obtaining your own degree online may be a route to a variety of career opportunities in vocational education.
